The 2022-2023 academic year will be a pivotal time for strengthening the cybersecurity posture of our university, and what better time to begin this effort than with National Cybersecurity Awareness Month. The continued convergence of in-person and remote environments makes for a complex cyber risk equation across UCLA. On top of this, cyber criminals are becoming more and more sophisticated. It is easy to feel powerless against cyber threats, but Cybersecurity Awareness Month reminds there are many simple things each of us can do to defend against them.
This October, we are focusing on solidifying our cybersecurity foundation by helping the Bruin community understand and protect against some of the biggest cyber threats we face.
