Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI)

VDI provides a flexible computing option for users who may not require physical devices or decline to install Trellix, but still need access to essential academic and administrative resources. The University Library's Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) service, offers access to a Windows OS desktop and a variety of tools and software from any laptop or tablet.

Visit the UCLA Library Virtual Desktop page to learn more about VDI. To request the VDI software, contact the UCLA Library via the CLICC Service Portal

Loaner Laptop

An additional alternative to installing Trellix, is to obtain a laptop from the UCLA Library’s equipment lending program.

Laptops are available for short term or long-term loans depending on the device. For more information, visit the UCLA Library Equipment Lending page.

To request a long-term loan of a CLICC HP Windows device, complete the form on the CLICC Resources and Services page.
