Staff, faculty and students have a legal obligation to protect the confidentiality of information and play a crucial role in UCLA’s efforts to ensure protection of information.

It is critical that everyone ensures that those with whom they share data have a legitimate business need for the data and that they, too, understand their obligations to protect this information from disclosure.

Register all computer equipment with sensitive data using the UCLA Police's Security Tracking of Office Property (S.T.O.P.) program.
