Current and Potential Phishing Attacks during COVID-19 Pandemic

During this time COVID-19 pandemic Health care has been targeted by nation states and cyber criminals. According to Health-ISAC Threat Intelligence Committee (TIC)  there has been an increase of roughly 20-30% in overall phishing attacks. 

For April 2020, FireEye Intelligence believes hostile cyber actors may entice victims to click malware-embedded links or attachments within campaigns regarding: COVID-19, Cancellation of Major Conferences/Closure of Entertainment Venues/Global Manufacturing Slowdown, Saudi-Russian Oil Production War, Extension of U.S Income and Stimulus Check, Postponement of 2020 Olympics, Myanmar Election, and U.S. Primary Election.
