Microsoft and Adobe Security Patches Released

The UCLA Information Security Office is providing the campus community with a reminder that several important security patches have recently been made available for commonly-used software including Adobe Flash, Adobe Reader, and Microsoft Windows.

  • Users with Adobe Flash installed should either consider disabling the software or update to the latest version using this link.  Recent versions of Google Chrome and Internet Explorer will automatically patch Adobe Flash upon browser restart.
  • Users with Adobe Reader installed should update to the latest version (15.017.20050) using this link.
  • Users running Windows should download recent patches via Windows Update.  Microsoft has released 11 security updates, six of which are rated "critical."  These patches address vulnerabilities in Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge, and other components of Windows.  More information about these updates can be found using this link.
